The FiveRDesign 2011 Happy New Year Update

As this is the first post of (what will hopefully be many in) 2011, on behalf of myself (Jamie) and Dave we'd like to wish all our readers and customers a (slightly late) happy new year from FiveRDesign

The closing months of 2010 were some of the busiest at FiveRDesign to date as we dramatically increased our involvement in the local Drupal development arena, taking on only Drupal (or combined Drupal and SEO) projects during this time. We successfully launched The Hearing Clinic website, a site for one of the UK's top hearing and audiology specialist who is based in St Albans in Hertfordshire and got the site to the top of or near the top of most of its major target SEO keywords, so the project was a pretty big success!

Since then FiveRDesign has taken it's first steps into the world of Drupal project management and consulting, acting as official Drupal advisors (as well as doing custom Drupal module development for their websites) to the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire based media planning and management agency Saffron Communications. FiveRDesign has established a very successful relationship with Saffron Comms and will continue to consult and advise them on Drupal based matters continuing into 2011.

I have also been successfully approved as a Drupal.org CVS account holder and my first module approved, though I have been somewhat lax in getting it up on Drupal.org (I will let everyone know when it has gone live). With the release of Drupal 7 and more people than ever wanting to use Drupal for their websites, we are hoping that this will be FiveRDesign's busiest and most productive year yet. And all this on top of maintaining full time jobs! (FiveRDesign is run exclusively as a side project in addition to Jamie's full time job as a Drupal Contractor and Dave's full time job as a Senior IT Technician).

I'll shortly be posting the first "proper" blog of 2011 about customising very specific parts of Drupal, so keep an eye out for that. Welcome to 2011 and if anyone reading this needs Drupal, standard web design or SEO services, I hope you will think of us.
